Troubleshooting: Loot Chests

What happened to my daily quest or season end rewards? They are missing!

The moment you click the "Claim" button, the results of your loot chests are randomly determined and the results are placed on the blockchain. The visual interface of clicking and opening loot chests is solely for the enjoyment of the user. By the time you are clicking the loot chests, the results have already been determined and been allocated. So if you don't complete the process for opening loot chests, you didn't actually "lose" anything.
#1. If you have concerns about whether or not you received your rewards, you should always first check Peakmonsters Explorer.
For the account @byzantinist, you would go to:
(Replace the account name above with your account name so it would be: https://peakmonsters.com/@your_username/explorer).
You need to log in to Peakmonsters to view the Explorer. Your Splinterlands is a Hive account so you can just use that to log into Peakmonsters (using Hive Keychain or Hive Signer).
Find the Rewards entry and click "View Details"
#2. If the blockchain had issues transmitting your claim transaction, then your rewards were never processed. Please refresh the page and try to Claim them again.
#3. If the Claim button is gone and Peakmonsters Explorer does not show your rewards, then please continue on to the subsequent questions below.

Peakmonsters Explorer doesn't show my season end rewards! What happened to them?

Although Peakmonsters Explorer is a useful tool and the first place you should look, it doesn't always capture every transaction. Most likely you still got your season end rewards and it is just a glitch that Peakmonsters Explorer didn't reflect that transaction. Please follow these steps to check the API on whether or not you received your season end rewards:
#1. Replace the following link with the season (Season #68 ended August 16th, 2021 and Season #69 ends August 30th, 2021, so you would replace season=68 with the season number) and your Splinterlands account name:
#2. Find the "reward_claim_tx" (highlighted in the above image) and copy and paste it here (replacing the "trx_id" value):
You can see all of the cards, potions, and DEC that you received here.
#3. If you want to look up a particular card id, you can copy the id (highlighted in the above image) and copy and paste it here (replace the "id" value):
#4. Assuming you haven't sold, burned, or transferred the card, you can check your Cards inventory:
We see the card is in our inventory.
#5. You can also find additional information here (replace the "ids" value):
#6. Here is a case where a different card from that same season end rewards was both transferred (it shows a different "player") and was combined (it showed a "combined_card_id"):
If the card was burned, it will be indicated there as well.
#7. If your season end rewards are not showing up through the API, then you should next try asking for help in the Discord #tech-support channel or on Telegram. That may be resolved FASTER than creating a support ticket.
#8. Otherwise, please go to our Customer Service Portal: https://support.splinterlands.com/ and Choose the Issue Category "Missing Loot Chest."

Why did I receive fewer loot chests than I should have?

Daily Quest rewards are determined by your league when you click the Claim button. If you lose rating points (lost battles or resulting from the season end rating reset) or have lost power (you sold or delegated cards or your rentals lapsed) and you end up in a lower league, then you will get fewer loot chests.
In the past, season end rewards were based on the highest league you achieved during that season. But as a result of reduced cooldown times, we will soon be transitioning to season end rewards being based on your league at the end of the season. So if you lose rating points or your power decreases (due to rentals lapsing), you may end up in a lower league at the end of a season, with fewer corresponding loot chests.

Why did I only receive half of the reward cards I earned?

If the loot chest flipping UI is interrupted, then you will sometimes get a blue notification that lets you re-open the loot chests. This is because some players get a lot of intrinsic satisfaction from opening the chests. Sometimes, this blue "phantom notification" may be about a daily quest (or booster opening) from days or even weeks ago. Remember that the results are determined and distributed the moment you click the Claim button. So if you start the chest flipping and get an Almo Cambio and then accidentally close the screen, then see a blue notification and re-flip the Almo Cambio, that is the same card - NOT a second copy of the card. When in doubt you should always first doublecheck with Peakmonsters Explorer and then the API.

Why did the blue phantom notification show fewer cards / loot chests than I should have gotten?

The blue phantom notification only shows Reward cards that you got from your loot chests. It does NOT show any potions, DEC bundles, or boosters that you might have gotten. When in doubt you should always first doublecheck with Peakmonsters Explorer and then the API.
